On Monday 11 December 2017, the Board of Directors of the second intermediate housing fund visited an intermediate housing programme in Ris-Orangis near Paris.
This 37-unit housing development – delivered on the day of the visit – is located in the Docks de Ris eco-neighbourhood in Ris-Orangis (département 91) and the whole project will eventually comprise almost 1,000 units of housing and 13,000 m² of amenities and businesses. The residence is right next to the RER rapid transit station which is due to be connected to the future T Zen 4 line (work scheduled to begin in 2019). The T12 Express tram-train will also start running in 2020.
The building has obtained French RT2012, NF Logement (housing) and Effinergie Plus energy performance certification. With average rents of €11.70 /m² (including parking space) – 11% less than the market rate – nearly 85% of units had already been rented out by the delivery date.
